Task

 

This assessment task requires you to use material from your reflective journal developed throughout this unit and:

1. Evaluate two of your areas of strength and two areas for development, in terms of your knowledge, skills or values relevant to effective communication.
2. Using literature, discuss how each of these communication strengths and areas for development is significant for ethical practice in your chosen profession.
3. Describe two strategies you will use to address your identified areas for development and improve your communication for future practice in your chosen profession.

 

 

Presentation

 

The paper must be typed on a word processor; contain an introduction that outlines the logical structure of your paper and a conclusion that critically reflects on the implications of your paper.

 

 

Assessment criteria

 

The essay will be assessed according to the following criteria:

●       Evidence of ability to critically reflect and evaluate communication strengths and areas for development using academic literature (40%)

●       Demonstrated understanding of effective and ethical communication, relevant to the chosen profession (40%)

●       Clarity of expression and adherence to essay writing standard (flow, logic, punctuation, grammar and spelling (10%)

●       Evidence of wide reading (use of no less than 8 references from academic journals and texts) and adherence to referencing standards (APA 7th). At least 3 of these will be from the unit materials (10%)

 Introduction

Information technology is commonly connected with the application of technology to market company problems. The IT workplace is introduced toward designed technologies like OSes, hardware systems and application software. Ability in IT is needed to determine the software and hardware elements that always be utilized to improve a characteristic interchange method. Information Technology professionalism work with a mixture of technologies, like server communications devices, OSes, and software applications.

Evaluate strength for development

Two strong areas are:

●      Understanding the congregation

This is especially critical to understand your congregation before I begin my speech, discussion, or presentation. Squeezing their transmission as per their needs will still work for their assistance. When they are showing it at a meeting, utilizing clinical and technical languages cannot be challenging the congregation to comprehend (Portnova, 2019, p. 189). However, if they are showing the exact in an academy location, they can maintain to create the speech more comfortably and the graphical presentation better attractive to maintain the learners confronted.

●      Constructive feedback and complaint

Communication reveals various opinions and ideas. They are attached to disagree and agree with some of the ideas that different individuals bear. This exists where the capacity to provide productive complaints arrives in the image. This is not about bearing behind the individual blatantly and existing brutally frank with how they handle (Chalkiadaki, 2018, p. 5). Despite concerns about blasting their thoughts or comments in a way that accomplishes not damage them. The feedback always assumes a different individual perspective. This must be presented in a straightforward and courteous way so they can bypass any misconceptions.

Two areas that need to make developed are:

●      Prepared for various solutions

When IT worker prepares a lesson plan, they need to put themselves in the role of an individual who will hear them. This will provide a level of technique, they can be ready to understand and support possible conflicts, and this will be more comfortable for them to support their view (Burke and Maceli, 2020, p. 6). Enhance prospects of a victorious discussion by predicting adverse responses and questions. Therefore, that will be more difficult for listeners to glimpse spontaneously.

●       Need to prepare what going to tell

IT professionals need to think before what they want to say. Therefore, the discussion or conference that is worth a special period, takes a periodic minute to compose the lecture.

For an extremely crucial discussion, the speaker needs to try a ‘mock-up discussion’ with an authorized individual so they can obtain rid of any possible errors.

Communication strengths and areas for development

Technology maintains a powerful influence on the profession of today’s learners. Around 80% of students interviewed for this analysis use the Internet to gain many benefits, particularly getting new communication and information with individuals. 70% think information technology includes a praising result, but 30% think it has a damaging effect (Antoni et al. 2020, p. 161). Negative impacts contain poor attention in the workplace and a considerable failure of duration.

Communication is very important for the IT profession. There are various congregations’ kinds within a company, including a congregation that surrounds every worker. Other congregation features might contain personal work groups, users of certain software programs and individuals discovered in certain office facilities or geographic areas (Lee et al. 2018, p. 21).  This is necessary to comprehend the congregation so they can convey it to them properly. This is even useful to maintain other congregations due to not everything they transmit will be applicable to the whole company. When they mail to multiple outside transmissions they will face the risk of individual stunning release to all of their transmissions because they guess that cannot be good for them.

Feedback is also important for the IT profession. Feedback from customers will help IT, workers, to make development in their current software. That is useful for everyone concerned with any kind of movement: performing a task, equipping for an occurrence and learning (Sheludiakova et al. 2021, p. 12). Feedback also helps IT, professionals, to avoid the same mistakes in the future.  Making a transparent and genuine transmission gush during any type of collaboration keeps the moment of repairing someone’s job, decreases mistakes generated by miss-transmission to a minimum, and stops regrets of those who sense as failed.

Develop and improve your communication

Two strategies for development and improvement in communication are:

●      Need to give attention

In case IT professionals are in a group conference or with one worker, presenting their entire guide to those they are with choice significantly enhances how they are accepted.  Frequently have they existed in a discussion with somebody who held glancing at talking to others (van Laar et al. 2020, p. 25). The absence of emphasis degrades the discussion driving somebody to adjust to escape. Hold eye connection at the time of discussions and seminars, and set all different items aside to optically obtain their emphasis and motivate per person to remain current.

●      Report and motivate

Transmission is a state of knowledge swap. Defining and purifying their views and thoughts is essential in an administration position. However, giving data to their group is just half of the comparison. Therefore, as an IT professional it is essential for their company. IT professionals' transmission actions encourage their group as large as they apprise those (Palvia et al. 2018, p. 237). The earlier for discussions and talks so they can actually combine inspiration and information. This is especially contesting for them and the help of a coach or mentor can be useful.

Conclusion

            Multiple studies state information technology utilized by workers always needs to concentrate on IT professionals instead than use computer programs and tools. Sovereignty, gathering work, essential reading, reports and different practices of the increased class of learning are requirements for success as an information technology professional. According to the above discussion it outcomes the IT profession is nowadays good for their working life. Some issues are faced by IT profession works. They always need to be good in their communication skill and always need to follow the feedback given by the customers.
